Child Safety Education Specialist

Do you care about children and want to make a difference? Would you like to give children the tools they need to keep themselves safe? If so, Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse & Suicide has the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for dedicated individuals to deliver child abuse prevention programming for children in grades K- 12.
Duties
Present personal safety curriculum to children and youth in schools, primarily in Hamilton, Boone and Marion counties, but including Hancock, Hendricks, Madison, and Tipton counties as well.
Interact with teachers, school staff, and children in a professional, but caring manner. All presentations are scheduled within normal school hours, generally 8am-3pm during the school year.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in education, counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field preferred; or a combination of experience, education, and/or training. Presenters will be paid $15/hour during the regular school year.
Skills
Ability to work with and interact well with children, good presentation skills, effective communication skills with school representatives.
