Board Spotlight - Tom Linkmeyer

How long have you been serving on the Board at ICPYAS and what is your role?
I began 2000- went off in 2012 and am now back on the board.
How did you learn about ICPYAS and become involved?
Through a friend at the Carmel Police Department when we were Chaucie's Place.
What do you do for a living?
Deputy Director- Indiana Horse Racing Commission
What is your proudest ICPYAS moment?
Seeing the growth of the organization from the beginning in 2000.
What motivates you the most to serve others?
I have been so blessed and it is an honor to give back and serve on this board.
What is your favorite quote and why?
"With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26)
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Fishing, Hunting, being outdoors.
What about ICPYAS’s mission and work really motivates you?
The ability to help children.
What would you most like people to know about ICPYAS?
Great organization, great leadership, and a noble cause to support.
Tom was a Professional Baseball Player for the Toronto Blue Jays as a 6th round draft choice in 1983. He served schools in Central Indiana as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Teacher, and Coach for 30 years until his retirement in 2019. He is now the Deputy Director of the Indiana Horse Racing Commission and has served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Bulls Baseball Organization for 35 years.
