Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide announces Two Community Focused Trainings
Carmel, IN- The Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide will be offering two community wide trainings those interested. “Since our name change and re-brand, we have had an increase of individuals inquiring about opportunities not just for Child Abuse Prevention but for training in suicide prevention as well” said Program Manager, Maggie Owens. Individuals interested in Suicide Prevention should attend QPR: Question. Persuade. Refer offered Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8 PM. The mission of QPR is to reduce suicide behaviors and save lives. On Thursday, April 18th from 6-8 PM, a Stewards of Children training will be offered. Stewards of Children® is a child sexual abuse prevention program developed by the national organization Darkness to Light. This program educates adults to prevent, recognize and react appropriately to child sexual abuse. This training program is designed for parents and any adults who work with children or adolescents.
